Another person has died in China from an unknown virus. In China, the virus has caught dozens of people and two other Asian countries have also appeared. Local officials said a 69-year-old man died in the central Chinese city of Wuhan on Wednesday. Wuhan is the hub of the corona virus. The virus is the alarm bell associated with SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) that killed 349 people in Mainland China in 2002–2003 and 299 in Hong Kong.

At least 41 people have been exposed to the new virus-associated pneumonia in China. The Wuhan Health Commission said in a statement on Thursday that 12 people have recovered from the disease and have been discharged from the hospital while five are in critical condition. Two other cases of the virus have also been reported in Thailand and Japan. Officials in Wuhan say a seafood market is the hub of the virus. It was closed on 1 January.
